Thanks to a friend, we have identified this camera as a Monroe #1 by the Monroe Company, made in the late 1800s This is a 4x5 inch self-casing folding camera. It is badged as Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Co. in Boston, Mass. Its exterior is very dry and it is missing its side bars. Its bellows are light tight, but their outer layer is cracking. The shutter functions properly on both settings. There is haze and fungus inside of the lens. Please see photos.
