This extremely rare Charles Chevalier Mahogany Daguerreotype 3¼×4¼'' sliding-box camera circa. 1849 comes with an E.Liesegang Elberfeld brass rack-n-pinon focusing brass lens. Collectiblend claims there is only 1 known to be in existence. There are a couple of scuffs and scratches on its exterior. Its slide is a little difficult to pull out, but it does move freely with a little help. The lens has a light spotty haze inside of it, but it is free of any fungus or haze. Its rack-n-pinon assembly is missing two screws which results in it jumping its track. Please see photos.
