This vintage Pathe Pathescope of America Lamp for alternating or direct current (Volts 110-120, 4.3 Amps). We are not sure exactly what this unit is used for, or how it is used. We assume it is a power supply with a rheostat. There is no bulb in it nor is there a place for one. There are scuffs, scratches, and a few small rust patches on its exterior. When plugged in gets quite hot, which we believe it is designed to do, since there is not much to go wrong . It has been sitting for many years and accumulated much dust inside of it.
