This sale features an original vintage 1902 C.L. Wasson stereoview card (7x3½") titled - Along the Driveway, Cableroad and Promenade to New York. The Cable Road: The tracks visible in the center were part of the Brooklyn Bridge Cable Road, which began shuttling passengers between Manhattan and Brooklyn in September 1883. By 1900, a third rail and "gauntlet tracks" were installed to allow Brooklyn Rapid Transit (BRT) elevated cars to also cross the span. Please see photos.
