The attached caption identifies the scene as taking place in Washington, D.C. during the highly publicized congressional inquiry into Hughes' wartime plane contracts. A strong image showing Hughes seated before a bank of microphones during one of the most famous political and business investigations of the postwar era. Measures approximately 7¼" x 9". This photograph originated from a large newspaper archive assembled and retained by a Pennsylvania newspaper near Pittsburgh.
