Original 1947 AP wire photo grouping documenting the murder of Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel. Three original AP wire photos are mounted to a 17" x 11" sheet of black mounting paper. The images include a crime scene overview showing Siegel on the divan with an arrow indicating the apparent bullet path through the window, a portrait of Siegel with its original June 21, 1947 caption, and a larger graphic crime scene photograph showing him after the shooting. The original AP caption strips remain attached beneath each photograph. The black mounting paper shows handling wear, tape remnants, and age-related wear. This grouping came from the archive of a Pittsburgh-area newspaper. Please see photos.
