Original 1947 AP Wirephoto showing rescuers removing a victim from the wreckage of a DC-4 transport plane that crashed near Port Deposit, Maryland, on May 30. The original caption reports that 52 people were killed and identifies the wreckage visible in the foreground as part of the fuselage. The photograph was made by Lt. George H. Jensen, public relations officer at Bainbridge Naval Training Center and an eyewitness to the crash. The original caption is separate and held to the front of the photograph by one piece of tape.
