Original 1947 AP wire photo showing Howard Hughes testifying before the Senate War Investigating Subcommittee during his widely publicized hearing in Washington, D.C. The large photograph measures approximately 15½" x 10" and captures the packed hearing room with Hughes seated at center before senators, members of the press, and spectators. The original AP caption remains attached along the bottom edge. There are several pieces of old tape around the borders and light handling wear consistent with age and newspaper use. This photo came from the archive of a Pittsburgh-area newspaper. Please see photos.
