Original 1947 AP Wire Photo showing Mrs. Glenn Bradley near collapse at the funeral of her three-year-old son, Charles, in Chicago. According to the caption printed directly on the photograph, Charles had been found strangled the previous week. Moments after placing rose petals on her son's casket, Mrs. Bradley began to collapse and was supported by her husband during the funeral at St. Mary's Cemetery. The caption states that a few hours later, 27-year-old Joseph Bortnyak was indicted on a charge of murdering the child. Measures approximately 6¼x8¾ inches. AP stamp on the back.
