Original 1947 AP wire photo showing a model of the planned United Nations headquarters between 42nd and 48th Streets along the East River in New York City. The model was displayed at Flushing Meadow Park during the General Assembly meeting. The photo measures approximately 8½x6½ inches. The separate caption and photo are mounted together on black archival paper. Note the tape on the corners and typical newsroom/archive wear. Came from the archive of a Pittsburgh-area newspaper.
