This sale features a 1870s antique CDV "Carte-de-visite" (2½x4⅛") showcasing a vintage print based on the painting "Macaw, Love Birds, Terrier, and Spaniel Puppies, Belonging to Her Majesty" by Sir Edwin Henry Landseer, originally created in 1839. The original artwork was commissioned by Queen Victoria and features her pets, including a macaw, lovebirds, a terrier named Islay, and a spaniel puppy named Tilco. Please see photos.
