This antique 1/6 plate (2¾x3¼") Daguerreotype photo features a rugged older Victorian gentleman posed beside a studio armrest. The image is housed in an earlier-style oval brass mat and preserver but is not in a case.
Original seals are no longer intact. There is visible surface wear, spotting, tarnish, and age-related imperfections throughout the image area, including several oxidation spots. Please see photos for condition and detail.
