Burke & James Rembrandt Model I wooden view camera. This camera appears to be a 5x7 view camera fitted with a 4x5 reducing back. The rear opening measures approximately 5x7 inches, while the installed back accepts 4x5 film holders.
The bellows are light-tight with no leaks found, although they have noticeable irregular wrinkles across the top from long-term storage. Focus movement is somewhat stiff and rickety but operates throughout its range. The remaining camera movements function smoothly and lock down securely.
The camera accepts approximately 6x6 inch lens boards. No lens board or lens is included. The ground glass is present, and the camera folds and closes properly. The wood retains a nice original finish with normal cosmetic wear from age and use.
