Original 1947 AP Wire Photo showing the aftermath of a dramatic accident in Baltimore, Maryland, where an automobile stalled on a Western Maryland Railroad crossing and was struck by a freight train. The impact dragged the car more than 150 yards onto a trestle, leaving it hanging over a branch of the Patapsco River. According to the original AP caption, the driver had left the vehicle to seek help pushing it off the tracks and was not inside when the collision occurred. Measures approximately 6 × 8¼ inches.
