The image shows rescuers and emergency personnel attempting to revive three women passengers who had been pulled from the burning wreckage. A dramatic and historically significant aviation disaster photograph with the original AP news caption attached. Mounted on original black scrapbook paper from a Pittsburgh-area newspaper archive. Measures approximately 8¼" x 7½" overall including the scrapbook mount.
