Original 1947 AP Wirephoto showing three Detroit roofers putting a porch back together after accidentally starting repairs at the wrong house. According to the original AP caption, the men had mistakenly torn down railings and removed part of the porch canvas at the home of J. D. Wilson before learning the actual repair job was two doors away. Wilson had called police, and crew boss Robert Sherlie is shown apologizing as Wilson, his wife and daughter watch from a second-floor window. Photograph and separate original AP caption are mounted together on black archival paper with period tape. Overall size approximately 7 x 6½ inches. Came from the archive of a Pittsburgh area newspaper.
