Original 1947 AP wire photo capturing an unusual moment during a high school football game in Lewiston, Maine, as two dogs run onto the field and interfere with play while Lewiston High School's Freddy Lebel (#44) carries the ball against Rumford High. The original caption remains attached along the bottom edge, noting there was "no record of whether the uninvited pups were rewarded for joining the game." The photograph measures approximately 15" x 10". There are several pieces of old tape around the borders along with light handling wear consistent with age and newspaper use.
