Original 1947 Associated Press wire photo showing U.S. Navy blimp K-107 after it was punctured while being moved from its hangar at Moffett Field, California, on May 6, 1947. The blimp collapsed after rubbing against the hangar framework and releasing its helium. No one was injured, and the Navy determined the airship was beyond repair, with engines and equipment salvaged. Mounted on black paper from the archive of a Pittsburgh area newspaper. Measures approximately 8¼ × 8 inches overall. Please see photos.
