Original 1947 AP Wire Photo showing 14-year-old Norton Clark of Newton, Massachusetts, posing with the elaborate horse-car trolley front he constructed inside his bedroom. According to the separate original caption, the setup included hissing air brakes, a foot-operated bell and full sound effects. Clark built the trolley front using parts salvaged from both modern and 19th-century trolley cars, creating an unusually elaborate display around his bed. The separate caption is taped directly onto the bottom of the photograph. Measures approximately 8⅜x7¼ inches. AP stamp present on the back.
