This antique Daguerreotype of a Victorian gentleman comes in a 1/6 plate (2¾x3¼") wood composite case. The case is 3¼x3¾x½'' overall. There are a couple of light scuffs and wear on the exterior of the case. The positive hallmark "L.B.B. & Ce", usually coupled with a 20 or 40 silver mark is attributed to a French plate producer, active around the years 1840-1843.
