He wears a dark coat with broad lapels, a buttoned dark waistcoat, white shirt with a turned-down collar and a striped cravat tied in a bow with long hanging ends. Gold-tone mat has a finely stippled surface and rectangular opening with rounded corners. Preserver features embossed flowers, leaves and curling vines, with bends and dents. Professionally resealed with white sealing tape visible on the back. No case included. Blue, purple and brown tarnish runs around the image perimeter, with rough, mottled deterioration near the lower edge. Scattered spots, scuffs and fine scratches remain visible across the portrait.
