Original 1947 Associated Press Wire Photo wedding display featuring two original wire photos and an accompanying newspaper article documenting the marriage of William Clay Ford, grandson of Henry Ford, and Martha Parke Firestone, heiress to the Firestone family. The two original AP Wire Photos show the couple leaving St. Paul's Episcopal Church and posing on the church steps following the ceremony in Akron, Ohio on June 21, 1947. Also included is the original newspaper clipping, "Ford Grandson Weds Heiress of Firestones," mounted between the photographs. The entire display is mounted on black archival paper and measures approximately 17 × 8¾ inches overall. Expected age-related wear, light handling marks, and mounting wear are present.
