Original 1947 Associated Press Wire Photo documenting the aftermath of a fatal collision between an automobile and a Greyhound bus in Indianapolis, Indiana. The original AP caption states that two people were killed and 19 injured when the vehicles collided. James Peavler of Greenwood, Indiana, driver of the overturned automobile, died instantly, while bus passenger James H. Adams of Whiteland, Indiana, later died from his injuries. The Greyhound bus crashed into a building after the collision.
