The original AP caption states that a nine-car passenger train jointly operated by the Frisco and Missouri-Kansas-Texas railroads overturned while rounding a curve on October 6, 1947, killing one crewman and seriously injuring another. No passengers aboard the train, which was en route from Dallas to St. Louis, were reported injured.
