Original 1947 AP Wirephoto showing the unveiling of one of the first "Eisenhower for President" campaign posters in New York City. The attached caption identifies the event as September 8, 1947, when former wartime mess sergeants associated with General Dwight D. Eisenhower unveiled the large campaign display on the Headquarters Restaurant marquee. Measures approximately 6¼" x 8¾". Original AP Wirephoto with attached caption. Unmounted, with no scrapbook backing present. Light wear, corner tape remnants, and handling marks consistent with age.
