That long-distance transmission is reflected in the photograph's noticeably low image quality, coarse detail and tonal loss. The caption is printed directly on the photo. An AP stamp is present on the back. Measures approximately 8½ x 6⅜ inches. Old tape remains on the corners, with expected age and newsroom/archive wear. This photo came from the archive of a Pittsburgh area newspaper.
