According to the separate original caption, Deputy Sheriff L.W. Lindblom is shown inspecting the wrecked coach after the train was derailed by a broken rail about four miles east of Ontario while traveling to New Orleans. Nearly the entire right side of the passenger car was torn away in the accident. Measures approximately 8¼x6⅛ inches. Caption is separate from the photograph.
