Original 1947 AP wire photo showing the wreckage of an airplane that crashed in a densely wooded area near Kenton, Ohio. The pilot and two passengers were killed. A fourth occupant survived, regained consciousness the following day, and crawled approximately half a mile to a farmhouse for help. The caption is separate from the photograph, and an AP stamp appears on the back. Measures approximately 8¼" × 6¾". Tape remains on the corners, with visible emulsion loss and expected age-related wear. From the archive of a Pittsburgh-area newspaper.
